Orchard Park, NY - Interior design & Custom Cabinetry - Office Remodel: If you’ve ever worked from home, you want an office remodel like! With two workstations, decorative open shelving, thoughtful organization, and intentional design, this office has it all. The goal was to create a space that could be shown off when the doors were open as well.
Design Approach
The goal for this office design was to create two separate workstations for the clients to use when they were both working from home. We wanted to incorporate a muted green paint color, wood countertops, and character details like paneling and crown molding.

It was really fun to hear the specific needs and desires these clients had for their office – like a mail slot, space for dual monitors, file storage, trash and recycling drawers, and space for a printer. The organization in this space is so good! In the renderings, you’ll see how we curved the countertop to make the best use of the space and bring in a modern organic feel.
Key Design & Cabinetry Details
On the other side of the office, there is plenty of closed storage, drawers to file away papers, and slots to sort mail and bills.
The cabinet color is Downing Stone by Sherwin Williams and its the perfect earthy green neutral. Adding a semi-flush chandelier adds a level of sophistication to the room.
These deep green velvet chairs complement the cabinetry so well, while also being functional and comfortable.
The drawers below the open shelves are pull-outs for trash and recycling, which is always needed in an office, but so nice to have tucked out of sight!
Picture lights provide additional illumination and accent lighting in this office remodel.
For styling the shelves, we found pieces in the Studio McGee and Hearth & Hand collections from Target.
For the hardware, we mixed simple knobs on the doors with cup pulls for the drawers. Mixing and matching hardware is a great way to elevate the look of your cabinets.

If you’ve ever worked from home, you know an office remodel like this would be so amazing! With two workstations, decorative open shelving, thoughtful organization, and intentional design, this office has it all. Since this space is right off the family room, the goal was to create a space that could be shown off when the doors were open as well. Our goal with this Orchard Park remodel was to blend function & style and we believe we achieved this!
One of my favorite details is the curved cabinet and counter on the right side of the built-ins. We were working with the existing window and wanted to bring the cabinets to the wall without infringing on the trim. The result was such a fun detail that also added some more storage as well – check out the shelves tucked back there!
The Result
The finished spaces are a complete transformation, more functional, better organized, and visually refined. The custom cabinetry plays a central role in both the design and usability of the space.
