Custom Kitchen Cabinets & Full Kitchen and Bathroom Remodel
Moving across the country and buying a home sight unseen always comes with a bit of adventure—and this one was no exception. This family made the journey back to Dad’s Buffalo roots, landing in a charming older home that, at first, needed a little convincing especially for Mom.
A small kitchen and cramped storage weren’t exactly love at first sight, but that’s where we came in. We were brought on to design and build a custom kitchen that could truly support the way this family lives and cooks—complete with thoughtful storage solutions and all the details that make a space both functional and beautiful.
The result is a kitchen that perfectly balances simple, modern lines with classic Craftsman charm. Warm wood tones and deep green accents bring richness and character, creating a space that feels both grounded and inviting.
Now, it’s not just a house they took a chance on—it’s a home they love.
This main level remodel was such an amazing transformation! After moving into their home, the clients knew they wanted to update the main level to be more functional for their family, while also reflecting a modern traditional style they love.
Before
Previously, the kitchen felt dark and dated with cabinets the same color as the flooring and millwork. The overall layout worked well, but the clients wanted to gain space in the kitchen to create a larger cook and prep space. Removing the two large windows on the side of the kitchen and moving the range allowed us to wrap the kitchen in functional space!
Behind the kitchen was a small breakfast nook and butlers pantry that was not used and the plan was to use it for more kitchen space and then divide it into two areas – an back entrance and a dry bar.
Design Approach
As a design and build project, we focused on both form and function.
Key design decisions included:
Reworking the layout to improve flow
Designing custom cabinets to maximize storage
Selecting materials that balanced durability and style
Creating a cohesive look throughout the space
For the design of this home, we wanted to incorporate classic finishes, warm wood tones, and elements that would age with the home for years to come.

Scope: Full kitchen renovation including cabinets, layout updates, and finishes
Secondary Scope: Converting the lower level full bathroom into a half bath to create additional space in the kitchen area and a private bath for the owners home office.
